Literally, this pose will make your heart sing! As well as your thighs, abs, arms, back and shoulders! This pose is excellent for strengthening the front and back side of the body and is a heart opening pose.
Start in down dog (hands and feet on the floor, with your hips in the air, like an inverted V).
Lift your right leg in the air and keep the hips leveled.
Open up the right hip by bringing the right leg over the center body line.
Flip your torso over so your right foot can touch the ground. Almost looking like a wheel pose but instead of your right hand touching the ground it is extended out to the right and over your head. Stay here for 5-10 breaths.
Come back slowly by flipping your torso back around and landing the right foot back in down dog.
Repeat on the left side.
